Anh and I have been spending a lot of weekends up in LA lately so why not share what we’ve been eating? There are three different Din Tai Fung locations in the Los Angeles area. The first two are in Arcadia while the newest location here opened in Glendale late last year at the Americana shopping center. If you are not familiar with Din Tai Fung, they serve different varieties of dumplings including soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings. Be careful what you say around die hard DTF fans, for they would take a bullet for their beloved restaurant.…Read more
I noticed a new place pop up on the backside of a shopping mall on Convoy where China Max resides. That place is called Jin’s Pot.
They have various lunch specials for $7.99. I asked the waitress what she recommended and she told me to get the Pork Rice Noodle Soup. Don’t you love it when they get straight to the point and don’t list everything on the menu as being their favorite? Easy ordering atmosphere. Check.
It came out super hot with a soulful aroma. When it was set on the table we realized there was a spicy component which we didn’t know about beforehand.…Read more

Any San Diego restaurant serving Dim Sum is immediately compared to their competition over 100 miles away in San Gabriel. Could French Concession fill the void for excellent Dim Sum in San Diego?…Read more
A few months back Anh and I checked out the new Tea Station out by San Diego State. You can read about our experience here. There were a few things that we felt needed a little improvement during our first visit, but overall the food and drinks tasted the same as the other Tea Station in Kearny Mesa. We wanted to see if any of these things improved after being in business for a little longer.
The drink Anh ordered is Lemon Tea with boba. It was a drink special that day and Anh loves her lemon tea. …Read more
For those of you looking for a new tea place, look no further than M.I.Tea Express. It stands for “Made in Taiwan” and they just had their grand opening this last weekend. They had lion dance performances! Unfortunately I couldn’t make it but I was able to go three or four times during their soft opening period. M.I.Tea Express is located right next to the new Zion market off Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
The menu has slightly changed and they offer some food now. Lots of items to try on the menu huh? …Read more
