It has been almost exactly one year since Pizzeria Mozza opened in downtown San Diego. After a short stay, they are closing their doors at the end of the month on November 30th. According to their Facebook page, “the gospel of Mozza pizza did not adequately spread to the people of San Diego.” I wanted to put something up here for people on the fence who have never gone to the restaurant and were thinking of visiting before they closed. Our favorite French Patisserie, Le Parfait Paris, has finally unveiled it’s newest storefront in the heart of downtown San Diego. It’s been a special project in the works for the past year or so, but I assure you the wait has been well worth it. Darren and I recently went to checkout the new location and definitely were not disappointed. The new location is stunning. With clean lines, colorful delights, and tall windows, the space couldn’t be more inviting. They are also open late on weekends!

Chances are you’ve seen or passed by Toast Enoteca & Cucina in downtown San Diego before. It’s right around the corner from Petco Park and across the street from Basic. Have you tried it yet? Fortunately we got to taste what Toast Enoteca & Cucina has to offer, but I can’t help but kick myself for not trying it sooner.
There’s around 400 different wines to sip and indulge on throughout the restaurant. You can load money on wine cards to sample by the ounce, just like Splash and Mosaic in North Park.…Read more
What an interesting event we attended last night. Chef Marcela and the California Table Grape Commission hosted a culinary demo featuring… GRAPES! The evening started with two signature cocktails – 1. Rosemary Grape Martinis and 2. Black Grape Margaritas.
The demo was hosted a top the beautiful Hotel Palomar in San Diego where we enjoyed a fantastic view of our finest city in America.
The featured demo of the evening was Grilled Salmon Tacos with Grape Pico de Gallo.
