TJ Oyster Bar!!! Best Mexican seafood in San Diego? Quite possibly. The name is a little deceiving as I don’t ever order oysters here. But everything else I’ve had was outstanding and really top notch. Let’s get right into it. The fish taco: crisp, tender, flaky, juicy, perfect. That’s all you need to know. Now head over to TJ Oyster Bar.
Next up shrimp ceviche and fish ceviche (or what was left). We couldn’t help ourselves and were starving that day I guess. Complete pictures will need to be taken next time we make the visit. This is probably one of the best ceviche’s I’ve ever had. And for the price, you cannot beat it. You can taste the lime, the fish and shrimp oh so tender, and they pile on the toppings like no other place I’ve seen. This is the best deal here.
The seafood soup is everything you need from a seafood broth and more. Shrimp, squid, fish, octopus, onions, parsley, and even more goodies. Think about the best tasting seafood broth you’ve ever had and then go here. You’ll probably conjure up those thoughts while sipping on your first mouth shattering taste. Great stuff.
And lastly, but certainly not least, the marlin taco. This taco basically tastes like a chopped fish taco marinated in bacon fat. It has that fatty, burnt, smoky flavor you get from bacon that just resonates with me for some reason. I don’t even like bacon that much. I think I like bacon flavored things more. The marlin taco may be my favorite thing here.

Looks great! How does it compare to La Playita, or other Mariscos places. You guys a have a nice food blog, good luck, and keep up the great work.
I haven't been to La Playita in quite some time, but from what I remember I think TJ Oyster Bar takes the cake. I also think it's tastier than Mariscos German Taco Truck #3.
