If someone told me they wanted to go to Jiggle Jiggle for lunch I’d probably ask if the lunch was for free. But alas, an X-rated experience was not meant to be on this day. Jiggle Jiggle is a Korean restaurant and it opened at the beginning of the year. Michael and I are always excited to try a new place, so off we went into the unknown eagerly awaiting our first Jiggle Jiggle taste.
Naturally I gravitated towards the Korean fries when I saw the signs in the front. But the voices in my head told me not to and instead I opted to order the more traditional bulgogi (beef) and bulgogi (chicken) lunch plate. (They had other fusion items like burritos and tacos as well.) You never know what to expect at a new place. Are they still working out the kinks? Are they going to forget something or mess something up? I have to say the first experience was a pretty good one. These lunch plates are no joke. They are not shy when it comes to piling meat on your plate. There could have been a few more vegetables but if given the choice, meat always prevails. The meat was tender and not too sweet. There actually was a perfect amount of food for lunch. I didn’t feel stuffed or like I got cheated either. The edamame didn’t have the freshest taste, but that was a minor issue which could be easily overlooked. They also brought out a side of kim chi later which was very welcomed. I love my kim chi. That wasn’t bad either. Not quite spicy enough for my taste, but other than that it was a nice addition.
So in the end, the trip to Jiggle Jiggle was worth it. I must make time for Korean fries and see what those are all about. Eat on folks.Jiggle Jiggle Korean Grill 3146 Midway Dr.
