Third Annual Foster Farms Fresh Chicken Cooking Contest Giveaway!

Ever wonder what a cooking contest would be like live in person?  I’m sure many of you have seen the bbq cook offs on the Food Network or something similar.  Well here is your chance!  This regional semifinals event is held at the Art Institute of California in San Diego on Friday, September 7.  There will be five finalists competing for the top two spots.  Those two will each receive a $1,000 cash prize, a free trip to the contest finals in Napa Valley, and a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000 and a year’s supply of Foster Farms fresh chicken!  One of the finalists is from San Diego and is no stranger to these types of competitions.  Maybe she’ll have home court advantage!  All attendees will be able to sample each contestant’s recipe and mingle with other California foodies.

There are 3 different ways to a delectable Friday for you and a friend:

1) “Like” us on Facebook and comment on our post to let us know what chicken recipe you’d make if you were a contestant

2) Comment on this post

3) Tweet at us @SanDiegoFoodNet with the phrase “Foster Farms Chicken Cooking Contest”

You can do one or all three of these for THREE chances to win!

Five lucky winners will receive a pair of tickets and will be chosen by 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4. That’s right, I said 5 winners!  All you have to do after that is let us know that you want your tickets and they will be waiting for you at the event!

Kathleen will be there to represent for SDF so say hi to her if you happen to see her grubbing it down.  Hope you bring your appetite!

About Darren

Fooood! I love it if you can't tell already. I love everything about it. The taste, the smell, the look, the feel, the satisfaction, the gratification, and ultimately: the fun! I've been in San Diego for about 10 years now and it amazes me that there are still places to uncover. Traveling, eating, and taking pictures of food has always been a hobby of mine. So naturally Michael and I thought it made sense to share what we found with all of you. I tend to side with the savory but never shy away from a knock out dessert. If you have a place you think we haven't tried let us know! We're always on the lookout...
