What’s the best way to get to know one of Forbe’s Hippest Hipster Cities? By eating, drinking and shopping there of course! Taste of North Park is happening this Saturday, October 4th from 11-4 in the heart of North Park. Over 35 restaurants are participating including Sea Rocket, who was featured in “Bizarre Foods,” Urban Solace who is practically famous for their cinnamon rolls (at least in my book) and Heaven Sent Desserts, who are just heavenly (pun intended). Not to mention 15 local craft breweries, including Coronado Brewing Co. and Ballast Point. If beer isn’t your thing, don’t worry there are over 10 galleries and boutiques to peruse over. To see the full list of participating local businesses go here.
Interested?
Tickets are $30 a person pre-sale and $35 at the door. Speaking from experience, this is a small price to pay for that much food and a whole day of entertainment. Plus, ALL ages are welcome. Those that are wanting to try some beer (and are over 21) will get a wristband on the day of the event at will-call.
There will be parking at the parking structure at University and 30th for $.50 for the half hour that maxes out at $5 for the day.
Some businesses will be offering cocktails at an extra charge, but the craft beer tasting comes with the wristband.
If I forgot anything, there’s even more info here.
I know I’m excited to support local businesses and explore my city, I hope you are too!
