A few months back Anh and I checked out the new Tea Station out by San Diego State. You can read about our experience here. There were a few things that we felt needed a little improvement during our first visit, but overall the food and drinks tasted the same as the other Tea Station in Kearny Mesa. We wanted to see if any of these things improved after being in business for a little longer.
The drink Anh ordered is Lemon Tea with boba. It was a drink special that day and Anh loves her lemon tea. It was very tart and sour with a strong lemon note that stays with you for a minute. Lemon lovers will love this lemontastic puckery explosion.
I opted to go for a drink I’ve never had before, the Mixed Fruit Tea Snow Ice. I tasted different berry flavors and I’m sure there were many more other fruits in there I couldn’t differentiate. It was also tart and tangy but a lot less sour than the Lemon Tea. Very good and I’d order it again on a day I didn’t feel like a milk tea.
Here’s my go to again, the Beef Stew with Green Tea Noodle. Just as juicy, flavorful, and comforting as I remembered the time before. You also gotta love the picked veggies they put on top.
Anh’s go to is the Tea Flavored Pickled Ground Pork. Also very satisfying. I’m sure we wouldn’t be so gaga googoo over this food if there were more places that served it in San Diego, but boy does it hit our spot when we’re in the mood.
