We had the pleasure of sitting down with Karen of Sugar Rush San Diego to talk about how her passion for homemade treats has become a growing business and of course, to sample some of her baked goods. We are giving away two dozen of Karen’s cookies to one lucky winner! She started Sugar Rush San Diego about a year ago and has been mostly making cookies; however, she does have other offerings like lemon bars and brownies as well. She learned how to cook and bake from her mother at a young age and one of her main goals is to share what homemade cookies actually taste like. Karen uses quality ingredients and mentioned she was working on a few new recipes.
This is what we got to take home to sample.Â
Our favorites were the No-Flour Peanut Butter Cookies and the Lemon Bars. These treats were not overly sweet. So if you like your cookies with a little restraint, you may be fond of these. The lemon bars were tangy and tart. Karen doesn’t use any preservatives and mentioned the cookies will last about 3-4 days. She also delivers the cookies in a specific range throughout San Diego found here. The price point is very reasonable at $12 for two dozen cookies. As a comparison, two dozen cookies from the Cravory costs $48.
We are giving away two dozen cookies to one lucky winner. Â In order to be eligible to win, your address must be within the delivery service area.
