We’ve been to Smashburger a handful of times and even got to smash our own burgers on one occasion! Right now they are offering their Sin City Burger for a limited time until October 26th at all of their locations. Normally it is only served in Las Vegas. In tandem with the limited time offer is a #SinCitySurvivalTips social media campaign where they are giving away a trip to Las Vegas (see details at the end of this post). We also have two burger vouchers to give away!
The sin: bacon, fried egg, haystack onions, American cheese, smash sauce, all on an egg bun. Just about everything good and bad in one burger.
You can actually see the seared meat in all its smashed glory. When all these ingredients are added, how can you go wrong? Yes it is over the top, but they don’t call it Sin City for nothing. It’s kind of a secret menu item at non Las Vegas Smashburger’s. They will make it for you if they have all the ingredients. When we had it before at the Mission Valley restaurant it was prepared beautifully. On this visit it seemed like our burger was a tad dry and I wish the egg was a little more runny. But all the flavors were there and bacon is the ultimate cure all.
We also ordered the San Diego Burger to at least get a little bit of veggies into the equation. They added a crispness and juiciness we were looking for.
