So Darren and I first noticed Kung Fu Tea a couple weeks ago while we were eating dessert at Blush (same shopping center). It was clearly under construction and didn’t look that far along. Darren mentioned he’d seen them in Las Vegas before, but didn’t have the opportunity to try them.
Anyhow, I was driving up to LA this past weekend and was headed over to MiTea. Before I got there, I noticed an open sign and the Kung Fu Tea sign nice and bright. So, I decided to check it out quickly.
They were actually on their soft opening this evening (Sat.) and were preparing to officially open the following day with normal hours.
There were a few people inside and several staff learning the ropes.
They’ve got a nice menu with typical drinks you’d find at a tea shop.
They also have a decent amount of space inside to hang out with friends.
Since I had a two hour drive ahead of me, I opt’d to get a Kung Fu Boba Milk Tea to go. The medium was a pretty good size and seemed a bit larger than most.
I asked for 70% sugar and you can even request your ice level. Since I didn’t have any basis of knowledge of ice levels, I asked for normal which ended up being fine.
The tea was more fragrant than most black teas and the sweetness was perfect. The boba was fantastic though. It was super bouncy and evenly textured all throughout. It wasn’t overly sweet, or under either. Fingers crossed they can keep this consistency going for the long haul!
Anyhow, I’ll definitely be back soon. Service was fun as they like to yell out at your when you enter and leave!
I also picked up this flyer on my way out marketing their grand opening BOGO specials. It’s only three days, but hopefully you’ll catch it.
If you try them, let me know about your experience!

You must have gone when they had their “free upgrade to large” special, which they ran last week 😛 Now, their medium is regular medium-sized. I like the Oolong Milk Tea here a lot!
Ahh… that would make a lot of sense! Darn, I was hoping their medium would always be that big. 🙂 Thanks for the tip on the Oolong Milk Tea!
Hahaha, I always have to grab some boba before I go out on a long drive. Seems like the KF milk tea was a pretty popular option went I visited, so I’ll be sure to keep that in mind for next time!
Isn’t boba the best on a long drive, Joleen?! I make it last much longer than I should. 😉
We went back another time during a weekend and it was crazy busy! Guess word is out and KF Tea hits the spot.
