Foodie neighbor, Tee, mentioned she was going to check out the new Nordstrom up in UTC last week.
So, Jorgina and I decided to tag along and check out the new store and restaurant, Bazille.
Although it does have a bar, Bazille is a full sit down restaurant.
We got there around 7:30pm and had to wait ~30 minutes. The cool thing is they will text you when your table is ready and you’re able to shop until then (smart business model!).
Here are some of the sauces, soups, wines, misc you can purchase.
Inside Bazille was a super bright kitchen with dozens of chefs and cooks busily pushing out food.
First up was the calamari. It came with a sweet and sour chili sauce. It was a decent dish, but nothing overly special.
We also ordered a pizza for an appetizer which had some pesto, prosciutto, and arugula on top.
They also served us some delicious warm bread along with some olive oil and whole olives.
I wish they would have served us this bread at the Marine Room!
Jorgina ordered the crab bisque. It was fantastic.
It was nice and creamy and packed a bunch of crab flavor.
Tee ordered the seared sea scallops which looked amazing and she seemed to love them.
Here’s the rigatoni.
I ordered the skirt steak which was super tender and very flavorful.
It was cooked perfectly medium-rare and the kale was a great addition.
For dessert, we shared the white chocolate bread pudding. I thought it was fabulous, but Jorgina didn’t think it was overly special.
Getting ready to shut down the kitchen.
Final Thoughts
Overall we had a great dinner here and the staff was personable. I did notice the prices are higher than the Nordstrom Cafe in Fashion Valley, but I suppose that comes with the ambiance of a full sit down restaurant.

Good looking steak! The short ribs sound interesting too.
Yeah, they (Nordstrom) always seem to execute really well with skirt steak.
soooo, would you go back for another visit? i am still amused that a department store has a food spot (read about the other one on faye’s blog)
Sure, I’d definitely go back for another visit. However, I think I’d limit my wait time to 45 mins max before wandering elsewhere.
