Anh and I visited an Argentinian Steakhouse a little while back in Little Italy. We didn’t know there was such a place in that location but off we were. We do tend to get random deals to restaurants that we’ve never been to before and hope to find good food around the bend.
The menu had some nice pictures and wasn’t super complex so after perusing it we ordered some grub!
We got there kind of early so we were the only patrons enjoying the Puerto La Boca ambiance. We liked the open kitchen and a cozy private room in the back.
Here it is, the Picana for two. You get the meat, mashed potatoes, olives, bread, butter, and a chimichurri sauce. The meat was fairly moist and well seasoned. I didn’t think the chimichurri sauce added too much. We had a chimichurri sauce whipped up by one of our chef friends before that would have highlighted the meat better. There wasn’t much that you can complain about except for the lack of vegetables. The garnish on the left doesn’t really count. The $49.95 price tag is comparable to an all you can eat place where you can get whatever you want. So it would be hard to go back just from that aspect alone. However, if you have a hard time regulating your intake, maybe this isn’t a bad idea. 🙂
